Industrial Inventory Clerk - 2nd Shift

Summary: Performs essential job functions under minimal supervision. Essential Job Functions (Duties and Responsibilities): The primary duties consist of, but are not limited to the following. Monitors and maintains current inventory levels alerting Purchasing Specialist of needed purchasing orders as required; store product in an organized manner and deal with space constraints. Maintains database, performs physical count of inventory, and reconciles actual stock count to computer-generated reports. Receives, unpacks, and delivers goods; re-stocks items as necessary; labels shelves. Processes and documents returns as required following established procedures. Performs routine clerical duties, including data entry of powder and gun parts logged out daily. Works with production schedule for plant to meet needs of thermal sprayers and having product ready for use. Blend powders and store in required conditions per company procedures. Confer with engineering and purchasing personnel and vendors regarding stock procurement and availability. Recommend disposal of excess, defective, or obsolete stock. Brings any unusual problem or irregularity to his/her supervisor and offers up solutions or potential resolutions to issue. Promotes and practices safety and good housekeeping procedures. Must comply with the EMS (Environmental Management System) Standard requirements. Performs other tasks as assigned or dictated by position. Must have the ability to report for work on time, follow directions, interact effectively with co-workers, understand and follow rules and procedures and accept constructive criticism. Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Minimum 1-2 years of experience in inventory, warehousing, or shipping/receiving. May be required to work overtime or any shift, including weekends. Must demonstrate the ability to read, write and communicate the English language. Must be able to perform basic math calculations. Knowledge of basic computer skills is required. Physical & Mental Demands: The following physical and mental demands consist of, but are not limited to the following. Must be able to work in industrial environment at elevated heights and in confined spaces. Manual dexterity to perform data entry functions. Ability to bend, pull, stoop, walk, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb and reach to perform functions. Ability to move/lift up to 50 lbs. May be exposed to heat, fumes, noise, and humidity, etc. Must have the cognitive and mental capacity to perform essential job functions. Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Visual acuity to read documents, computer screens, files, etc. Ability to hear in person and via phone.
