Indirect Buyer

Valto, Inc. is hiring an Indirect Buyer to lead indirect sourcing for its Joliet production site. The role focuses on cost efficiency, contract compliance, supplier relationships, purchasing needs, and inventory for non-production materials, while providing backup support to other sites.

e. Facilitate negotiation of contracts and agreements, ensuring favorable terms and total cost of ownership for the company
• Issue and track purchase orders for indirect materials and services. Coordinate with various site internal teams to ensure accurate, cost-effective, and timely fulfillment
• Partner with other Valto production sites to aggregate products to drive lower cost of ownership through leveraged buying arrangements
• Ensure compliance with budgets and forecast future site purchasing needs
• Measure and communicate opportunities and savings both internally and externally
• Measure supplier performance and internal participation in all initiatives
• Track site spend and report cost savings and supplier performance through a standardized set of KPI’s
• Resolve issues related to site Indirect product and service quality, delivery, or payment
• Communicate project updates to all stakeholders
• Leader for positive change
Skills
• Minimum 2-5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or other operations or supply chain role, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to analyze costs and drive savings opportunities
• Solid Communication and Inter-personal Skills
• Strong initiative/ self-starter
• Ability to work in a matrixed environment
• College degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field
• Capital/MRO procurement experience a plus
