Indirect Buyer
RGBSIIndirect Buyer We are seeking an experienced Indirect Buyer to manage strategic sourcing, procurement, and supplier relationships across a wide range of indirect materials, equipment, and services in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in category management, contract negotiation, cost savings, and supplier risk management , preferably within the automotive or industrial manufacturing industry. Key Responsibilities: Manage indirect procurement categories, including equipment spares, industrial services, utilities, transportation, freight, rentals, and leasing . Source and negotiate equipment spares and maintenance services for stamping presses, tooling, and welding machines. Manage utility contracts for electricity, heating gas, welding gas, and other facility services. Oversee procurement of road, ocean, and air freight services, including Incoterms, bills of lading, and customs requirements. Manage contracts for real estate, warehouses, equipment leasing, forklifts, vehicles, and IT hardware. Source and manage PPE, industrial consumables, cleaning services, vending machines, food and beverage, and corporate travel and lodging. Coordinate procurement of HR consulting, staffing agencies, temporary labor, training services, and insurance programs. Lead RFQs, RFPs, competitive bidding, supplier quote comparisons, and contract negotiations to achieve cost savings. Develop and maintain supplier relationships while monitoring performance, compliance, and supply risks. Review and negotiate service contracts, including scopes of work, SLAs, pricing, liability, indemnification, termination, and other contractual terms. Conduct supplier due diligence and ensure procurement activities meet company policies, governance standards, and regulatory requirements. Qualifications: Experience in indirect procurement, purchasing, or category management , preferably in automotive or industrial manufacturing. Strong knowledge of indirect purchasing categories such as equipment spares, industrial services, utilities, logistics, and facility-related services. Proven experience in supplier negotiations, strategic sourcing, RFQs, RFPs, and cost-reduction initiatives. Experience managing service agreements, contracts, and supplier relationships. Understanding of transportation and freight procurement, including Incoterms and customs processes, is an advantage. Strong analytical, communication, negotiation, and contract-management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and procurement-related systems. Ideal Candidate: A well-rounded indirect procurement professional with broad category management experience, particularly in industrial manufacturing equipment, maintenance services, utilities, and logistics , who can negotiate effectively, manage complex supplier contracts, drive cost savings, and ensure procurement compliance.
