Responsibilities Develop and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and personalized service. Manage end-to-end freight brokerage operations, including quoting, booking, dispatching, and tracking shipments. Utilize transportation management systems (TMS), EDI (Electronic Data Interchange), and CRM software to streamline operations and ensure data accuracy. Negotiate rates, contracts, and service terms with carriers, shippers, and other stakeholders to optimize profitability. Coordinate logistics planning for international trade shipments, ensuring compliance with FDA regulations and international trade laws. Ensure adherence to trade compliance standards and safety regulations while managing freight forwarding logistics. Generate leads through prospecting activities like cold calling and networking within the logistics industry. Maintain detailed records of transactions, dispatches, pricing agreements, and client communications for audit readiness. Provide excellent customer service by resolving issues promptly and keeping clients informed throughout the shipping process. Experience Experience in supply chain management, transportation management systems (TMS), or freight brokerage operations. Strong background in logistics sales including B2B sales, inside sales, or account management within a logistics or 3PL environment. Hands-on experience with CRM software such as Salesforce or similar platforms for client relationship management. Knowledge of carrier sales, freight negotiation strategies, pricing models, and contract management. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) for data entry, reporting, and communication tasks. Excellent negotiation skills combined with customer service expertise to foster long-term client relationships. Experience working with transportation planning tools like Transportation Management Systems (TMS) or similar software solutions is highly desirable. Compensation 60% of gross profit after carrier cost on freight generated through your accounts. Your earning potential is directly connected to the business you develop. There is no traditional salary or hourly wage associated with this independent agent opportunity.
