Independent Courier Driver

Job Summary As an Independent Courier Driver, you’ll keep deliveries moving by transporting orders safely and reliably to their destinations. You may drive a personal vehicle, van, or box truck, depending on the delivery assignment. The role combines route driving, customer service, and hands-on loading and unloading. Follow traffic regulations and applicable Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements throughout each trip. Duties Pick up, load, transport, and unload deliveries; use a pallet jack or other material handling equipment when needed. Plan and follow delivery routes, use mobile devices to manage delivery details, and communicate professionally with customers. Handle packages and other materials using safe lifting practices, including when moving heavy items. Your impact: Careful driving and accurate deliveries help customers receive their orders safely and on time. Follow workplace weight-handling procedures and maintain safe practices during warehouse operations. Experience Delivery driver, courier, route driving, or other delivery driving experience is useful; warehouse experience and familiarity with warehouse operations are also valued. Experience with commercial driving, commercial truck driving, box trucks, vans, or personal vehicle delivery is helpful. Manual transmission experience may be required for some vehicles. Able to drive responsibly, adhere to traffic regulations, and provide courteous customer service. Comfortable with manual handling, moving, heavy lifting, and loading and unloading; knowledge of safe lifting practices and workplace weight-handling procedures is important.
