Duties Safely operate your personal or commercial vehicle, including box trucks, vans, or other delivery vehicles, to complete scheduled routes. Load and unload packages using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks when necessary. Follow prescribed routes diligently, adhering to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards to ensure safety and compliance. Manage deliveries efficiently by accurately scanning packages with mobile devices, verifying delivery details, and obtaining customer signatures when required. Provide excellent customer service by communicating professionally with clients during drop-offs and pickups, addressing any concerns courteously. Maintain vehicle cleanliness, perform basic safety checks regularly, and report any mechanical issues promptly. Ensure safe lifting practices during manual handling of packages weighing various loads, respecting weight handling guidelines in the workplace. Requirements Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier with knowledge of route driving and warehouse operations preferred. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently while adhering to schedules. Excellent communication skills for customer interactions and navigation instructions via mobile devices. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism.
