Independent Courier Contractor

Job Overview As an Independent Courier Contractor, you’ll pick up, transport, and deliver shipments safely and reliably. You’ll plan routes, handle items with care, and provide professional customer service at each delivery. This role may involve driving a personal vehicle, van, or box truck, depending on the delivery assignment. Responsibilities Complete courier and route-driving assignments while following traffic regulations and applicable Department of Transportation (DOT) rules. Load and unload shipments, using safe lifting practices and pallet jacks or other material-handling equipment when needed. Handle workplace weight requirements and move goods carefully between vehicles, warehouses, and delivery locations. Use mobile devices to review delivery details, navigate routes, and record shipment status. Communicate courteously with customers and support smooth warehouse operations. Requirements Commercial driving, commercial truck driving, or delivery driver experience is preferred; personal-vehicle delivery, van driving, and warehouse experience are also relevant. A valid driver’s license and the ability to operate the vehicle required for assigned routes; manual-transmission experience may be needed for some vehicles. Ability to perform manual handling and heavy lifting, and to load and unload shipments safely. Familiarity with warehouse operations and material-handling equipment, including pallet jacks, is helpful. Reliable driving habits, attention to traffic regulations, and a customer-focused approach are essential. Pay: $125.00 - $140.00 per day Benefits: Flexible schedule Work Location: On the road
