As a courier contractor, you will be responsible for managing your own schedule, operating commercial vehicles, and providing exceptional customer service. Your dedication to safe driving practices and manual handling will help us maintain high standards of delivery excellence and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Safely operate a variety of delivery vehicles including box trucks, vans, or personal vehicles to complete scheduled deliveries. Load and unload packages using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks or hand trucks. Follow planned routes efficiently while adhering to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) safety standards. Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately, with proper documentation and proof of delivery. Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine inspections to ensure safety and compliance with legal requirements. Communicate effectively using mobile devices to confirm delivery details or resolve issues promptly. Provide excellent customer service by representing the company professionally during interactions with clients. Qualifications Must have own, Cargo Van, Sprinter VanPrior experience in delivery driving, warehouse operations, or commercial truck driving preferred. Valid driver’s license suitable for operating box trucks, vans, or personal vehicles used for deliveries. Experience with manual transmission vehicles is advantageous. Knowledge of safe lifting practices and manual handling techniques for heavy or bulky items. Familiarity with route driving, traffic regulations, and DOT regulations applicable to commercial vehicle operation. Ability to lift heavy packages safely and perform manual handling tasks in accordance with workplace safety standards. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deliveries efficiently while maintaining high safety standards.
