Independent Courier Contractor

Position: Medical Specimen Courier Schedule: Monday–Saturday (consistent daily route) Service Areas: Columbia, South Carolina & Augusta, Georgia Start Date: Upcoming opportunity — accepting candidates now About the Role We are seeking reliable, detail‑oriented couriers to pick up and transport medical specimens from clinics, labs, and healthcare facilities throughout the Columbia, SC and Augusta, GA regions. This role is essential to supporting patient care, ensuring specimens reach laboratory partners safely and on time. Primary Responsibilities Daily route pickups at medical offices, clinics, and hospitals Secure handling of medical specimens following all safety and compliance guidelines Timely delivery to designated laboratory locations Accurate documentation of pickups, drop‑offs, and chain‑of‑custody Professional communication with healthcare staff Adherence to route schedules Monday through Saturday Coverage Areas Columbia, SC: Downtown, Lexington, Irmo, West Columbia, Northeast Columbia Augusta, GA: Downtown Augusta, Martinez, Evans, North Augusta, Grovetown Requirements Valid driver’s license and clean driving record Reliable personal vehicle (fuel‑efficient preferred) Ability to lift up to 25 lbs Smartphone for route updates and communication Strong attention to detail and commitment to specimen integrity Professional appearance and customer‑service mindset Preferred Experience Prior courier, delivery, or medical transport experience Familiarity with HIPAA and chain‑of‑custody procedures Comfort navigating multiple stops efficiently Compensation Competitive pay based on route volume, mileage, and experience.
