Independent Contractor (IC) Delivery Driver **Must be in possession of a 26' Box Truck**

Are you the Right Person? ” This position is Full-Time, 1 Man (Driver) position Routed Work, Mon-Fri. We often have routes that cover outside of the metro as well so must be able to accommodate both . You MUST be in a possession of a 26' Box Truck with a lift gate. Rental equipment is acceptable. This is NOT a company delivery Driver Position. Duties Safely operate your box truck or other delivery vehicle, following all traffic laws and DOT regulations. Load and unload packages using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment like pallet jacks when necessary. execute efficient delivery routes using mobile devices for navigation and real-time updates. Load, secure, and unload shipments, ensuring proper weight distribution and safe lifting practices. Provide excellent customer service by delivering packages promptly and professionally, addressing customer questions when appropriate. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and delivery confirmation records. Adhere to safety protocols for driving, heavy lifting, and workplace weight handling standards. Qualifications Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, with familiarity in warehouse operations and material handling equipment operation. Experience driving box trucks or commercial trucks preferred; valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required. In possession of a DOT medical card Knowledge of safe lifting practices essential. Ability to lift heavy packages regularly while maintaining proper manual handling techniques. Strong understanding of route driving, traffic regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, and weight handling in the workplace. Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude. Comfortable using mobile devices for navigation and communication during deliveries. Warehouse experience or moving experience is a plus to facilitate efficient load & unload processes.
