Independent Contractor Driver: Lomeli Courier Services

Position type: Independent contractor, as-needed routes Routes: Gilbert, AZ to California, plus runs up and down the California coast Pay: Flat Rate base on runs About Us Lomeli Courier Services is a family-owned courier and delivery company moving trailer loads between Arizona and California. We value reliability, clear communication, and careful handling of every load. The Opportunity This is a flexible, as-needed contract role for drivers who want to earn extra income on their own schedule. You choose the runs that fit your availability. We're looking for dependable people who take pride in secure, on-time transport and are willing to learn our trailer security procedures. Responsibilities Pick up, transport, and deliver loaded trailers safely and on schedule Follow our secure transportation procedures, including proper hitching, locking, sealing, and load verification Inspect your truck and trailer before each run (tires, lights, brakes, hitch, safety chains) Communicate promptly about delays, road conditions, or issues Keep accurate trip records, pickup and delivery confirmations, and any required paperwork Handle cargo and customer information with discretion Requirements Your own truck rated to tow 4,000 lbs or more (hitch, brake controller, and wiring in good working order) Valid driver's license with a clean or near-clean driving record Proof of vehicle registration Comfortable with long-distance highway driving, including Arizona to California desert and mountain routes and coastal city driving Experience towing trailers, or a willingness to be trained Reliable phone for dispatch and updates Ability to load/unload and secure equipment as needed Preferred (Not Required) Prior courier, delivery, or logistics experience Familiarity with California coastal routes Experience with GPS What We Offer Flexible, pick-your-own schedule Steady work as routes become available Training on our trailer security and transport procedures Direct communication with the owners Opportunity for more routes as trust and reliability grow Ideal Candidate You're dependable, safety-minded, and good about showing up when you say you will.
