Independent Contractor Driver CARGO VAN ONLY

MUST PROVIDE OWN CARGO VAN AND EQUIPMENT . 1099 Position -Routes are available 7 days a week with ongoing opportunities. -Packages are small, sometimes we may get food boxes, not too sure about that yet. - Approximately 80 to 120 packages and 75 to 150 miles per route. - $200 daily rate fixed regardless of package count - We are not sure about the start time at the moment. We have to get the team built up first before we can start but normally between 5am-8am and the routes may take between 5-8 hours to complect depending on the driver - We are building our team so as soon as we have enough drivers, they will turn on the green light for us to get started. They want me to provide a roster with drivers. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting packages to peoples homes and apartments. This is DAILY work that pays well. Pick up at set location in the morning and hit the route. Your role is vital in delivering exceptional customer service while maintaining the highest safety standards. Duties Operate CARGO VAN efficiently and safely. Arrive at pick up location on time and load boxes neatly and in an organized fashion to maximize route efficiency Conduct routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks to ensure optimal operation and safety compliance. Follow all traffic laws and company policies to guarantee safe journeys for all passengers and cargo. Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding pick-up times, routes, and any delays or issues that arise during transit. Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle condition reports as required. Requirements Proven experience in driving cargo van but not super important. Experience running routes or any similar job experience Valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle type, with a clean driving record. Strong communication skills to interact confidently with passengers and team members. Ability to perform light maintenance tasks and identify basic vehicle issues promptly. Physical ability to lift heavy items safely when needed for package handling. Knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and best practices for commercial driving.
