We are currently looking for qualified contractors operating a variety of reliable vehicles, including: Cars SUVs Cargo Vans Sprinter Vans Box Trucks (16–26 ft.) Opportunities may include dedicated scheduled routes, recurring delivery work, regional transportation, and on-demand/STAT deliveries throughout Northern Virginia and surrounding service areas. Our expanding service area includes Fairfax, Alexandria, Arlington, Springfield, Manassas, Woodbridge, Sterling, Ashburn, Leesburg, Reston, Chantilly, and nearby communities. Compensation will vary based on the specific route, vehicle requirements, mileage, schedule, and overall scope of work. This is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity , ideal for experienced transportation professionals who understand the importance of reliability, communication, safety, professionalism, and exceptional customer service. Available Opportunities Dedicated & Scheduled Routes We are seeking experienced contractors interested in consistent delivery opportunities with established pickup and delivery requirements. These opportunities are ideal for couriers who prefer structured schedules and clearly defined route responsibilities. On-Demand / STAT Deliveries JP Transportation is also expanding its network of flexible on-demand contractors throughout Northern Virginia. We are interested in connecting with drivers who have flexible availability and can respond to delivery opportunities as they become available. Regional Delivery Opportunities Depending on customer requirements, additional opportunities may become available throughout Northern Virginia, the greater Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, and surrounding regional markets. Responsibilities Safely and professionally complete accepted pickup and delivery assignments. Operate your vehicle in accordance with all applicable traffic and safety regulations. Arrive at scheduled pickup and delivery locations on time and prepared. Maintain professional communication with dispatch and operations personnel. Utilize JP Transportation's company-approved dispatching application for route assignments, communication, navigation, status updates, and proof of delivery when required. Maintain an active smartphone capable of reliably running the required dispatching application throughout contracted assignments. Properly handle packages, freight, equipment, or other materials based on individual route requirements. Obtain and maintain all required proof-of-pickup and proof-of-delivery documentation. Immediately communicate delays, delivery issues, accidents, or other concerns to dispatch. Maintain a professional appearance and attitude while representing JP Transportation at customer locations. Keep your vehicle clean, safe, dependable, and properly maintained. Follow all applicable customer-specific handling, security, and delivery procedures. Qualifications & Requirements Applicants must: Possess a valid driver's license . Maintain current vehicle registration and insurance that meet applicable requirements. Have access to a reliable, well-maintained vehicle appropriate for the contracted delivery work. Have a reliable smartphone with active cellular/data service and GPS capabilities .
