Independent Contractor Courier Driver (Own Vehicle) – Houston

Summary Core Elements Logistics is a new Houston B2B courier company. We're building a bench of pre-qualified independent contractor drivers to handle local business deliveries (parts, documents and supplies) for commercial customers. You'll use your own vehicle and choose which runs you accept. We offer runs as customer work becomes available. We don't promise a minimum number of runs, hours or earnings. We're onboarding drivers now so we're ready as that work comes in. What you'll do Pick up and deliver business shipments across Greater Houston in your own vehicle. Follow pickup and delivery instructions, confirm items, and capture proof of delivery (photo or signature) on your smartphone. Communicate professionally with customers and the Core Elements operations team. Report delays, damage or problems right away, following our escalation steps. Keep customer items and information confidential. What you need Age 21 or older, with a valid Texas driver's license. A registered vehicle you can use for deliveries (car, SUV, pickup or cargo van; cargo vans are a plus). Personal auto insurance that meets at least the Texas minimum of 30/60/25, plus a business-use or delivery rider on your policy. A clean driving record: no more than 2 moving violations and no at-fault accidents in the past 3 years, and no DUI/DWI in the past 7 years. A smartphone with a data plan, for navigation and proof of delivery. The ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs on your own. Passing our driver screening, which includes a document review, a screening call and a background check. The background check happens only after you pass the screening call. Before any check is run, you'll receive a separate written disclosure and we'll ask for your written consent. Completion of driver orientation before your first run. Compensation Per-run pay, discussed at screening. The pay is confirmed before you accept any run. You're a 1099 independent contractor, so you provide and pay for your own vehicle, fuel, insurance and phone. We don't promise a minimum volume, hours or earnings.
