Independent Contract Delivery Driver

Responsibilities & Requirements: - Driving their own vehicle -Must have a van or truck for larger deliveries - Provide car insurance for themselves - Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries and pickups - Load and unload goods using pallet jacks and forklifts - Follow delivery schedules and routes to ensure timely and accurate deliveries - Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance tasks - Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations - Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including proof of delivery documents Experience: - one year of driving experience - Experience with route driving and delivery operations - Proficient in operating various types of vehicles, including tractor-trailers, vans, box trucks, and forklifts - Familiarity with using pallet jacks and performing heavy lifting - Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients Skills: - Valid driver's license with a clean driving record - Ability to pass a background check - Strong knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations - Good time management skills to ensure on-time deliveries - Ability to navigate using GPS or maps to find the most efficient routes Note: This is an independent contractor position.
