Inbound Receiving Quality & Verification Specialist Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. | Location: Reno, NV (Whse) | Employment: Full Time | Requisition ID: 21381 | Category: Warehouse/Distribution Sign-on Bonus: $500 A day in this role Morning starts with inbound trailers. You wheel a pallet to the receiving lane, open cartons, and verify the contents: matching packing slips to purchase orders with item/vendor numbers, descriptions, and counts. You spot-check with measuring tools or reference manuals, apply and scan barcodes into our warehouse system, and stage product for put-away. Damaged packaging or mismatched quantities? You dig into the discrepancy, research the root cause, and document the resolution. Between loads, you handle inter-warehouse transfers, form and seal boxes for bins, overstock, and racks, and keep the area organized. Throughout the day, you operate pallet jacks or forklifts (after internal certification), move totes/skids for reuse, and support teammates across departments when needed. Safety and cleanliness guide your pace—you follow guidelines, meet quality and productivity targets, and contribute to our Work Clean program. When customer demand peaks, you’re ready to flex with overtime. What you will do Verify inbound items against POs using visual inspections, counts, manuals, and measuring instruments. Inspect packaging for damage and resolve receiving or purchasing discrepancies. Create, apply, and scan barcode labels into the warehouse system. Process all incoming inter-warehouse transfers. Operate pallet jacks/forklifts to load, unload, and move product safely. Stage, form, and seal boxes for put-away (bins, overstock, and racks). Cross-train to support adjacent teams and business needs. Adhere to safety standards and meet productivity/quality goals while maintaining a clean work area. What you bring Basic PC proficiency. High school diploma or equivalent. Valid state driver’s license (in some instances). Willingness to work overtime when required. Ability to obtain internal certifications for powered equipment and, if needed, picking DOT-regulated items. The range is informed by comparable roles and local labor markets; actual pay reflects experience, education, and internal equity. MSC may adjust ranges as market conditions evolve.
