Confidential291 Halton Ave Milton, ON L9T2M1 Import Specialist Job Description: The position will manage the daily operations of the Company’s imports to ensure a seamless process for receiving of goods from overseas, to managing of CARM portal to export control and all reporting necessary. Duties and Responsibilities: § Overseeing the timely delivery of goods into the country to the final destination in Canada. § Managing of CARM portal including determination and timely payment of duties owed to CBSA § Ability to maintain accurate and transparent records § Managing the duty deferral license § Duty drawbacks, if necessary, for any goods not covered by license § Reporting of monthly domestic sales to CBSA § Providing timely and accurate information and reports. § Aiding in all facets of customer service, shipping support and team support as needed § Ability to work independently in a remote environment while participating in a virtual team with other CHR members. Must be able to travel occasionally to warehouse and/or general meetings Experience Required: § Minimum five (5) years work experience in customs import in Canada. Three (3) years experience in an apparel company preferred § BA/BS Degree in business or a commensurate level of directly related experience § Well-developed analytic and problem solving skills § Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills § Highly organized ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver assignments on time § Excellent listening, written and verbal communication skills § Successful in dealing with government personnel § High degree of integrity including ability to successfully deal with sensitive or confidential information § Ability to exhibit poise, composure and confidence when confronting stressful or high-pressure situations § Personally exhibits a strong commitment to dependability and reliability with the ability to gain the confidence and respect of the team § Hands on, self starting, disciplined, and detail oriented individual with ability to work independently in a time sensitive environment that requires a work product that is highly accurate and timely § Must be experienced in and able to demonstrate proficiency with computerized inventory management § High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Excel, MS Word) § Curiosity to expand knowledge as needed ______ Pay: $50,000.00-$70,200.00 per year Benefits: Casual dress Dental care Disability insurance Extended health care Life insurance RRSP match Store discount Work from home Work Location: Remote
