Role Description The Import Production Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in Los Angeles, CA. This role supports the Production Manager in running the production lifecycle across wholesale and DTC channels, from development through final delivery. The role ensures the product is executed accurately, on time, within costing targets, and to company quality standards. This role owns recurring workflows independently and keeps the Production Manager informed. Key Responsabilities Help maintain the master production calendar. Track proto and fit samples, TOP approvals, bulk production, and shipping dates. Flag delays and cancel-date risks to the Production Manager with context. Handle daily follow-up with overseas factories on samples, lab dips, fabrics, trim, yarn, packaging, and shipping documents. Support EXW/LDP costing and boat, air, and sea planning as directed. Keep a personal task log for multi-step instructions. Print and file POs, maintain the Monthly Tech Pack Box, and sort bulk swatches by Order # to confirm with the Head Designer. Hold and resubmit rejected swatches. Keep all approvals saved and audit-ready. Review PO email threads daily to verify TOPs for the week's shipments. Manage vendor delay requests, confirm shipping documents, and coordinate with other teams like the Customer Service and Warehouse teams. Schedule production sample fittings and send fit comments to vendors. Maintain a production master sheet and N41 current as the single source of truth for style status, fit history, and vendor communication. Qualifications Strong Production Assistance skills, including coordinating import workflows, tracking orders, and maintaining production schedules. Quality Control skills, with the ability to inspect products, identify defects, and support corrective actions to meet brand standards. Customer Service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly with internal teams and external partners and respond promptly to inquiries. Editing skills, including careful review of production documents, packing lists, and shipment details for accuracy. Strong organizational and time management abilities, with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with spreadsheets and production or inventory management tools; familiarity with import/logistics processes is a plus. Previous experience in apparel production, supply chain, or a related field preferred. Ability to work on-site in Los Angeles, CA and communicate professionally in written and spoken English.
