For our OnBoard CHICAGO office, we are looking for the following profile: Position: Import Operations Coordinator Location: 205 Stanley ST, Elk Grove Village IL, 60007 SUMMARY: The Import Operations Coordinator is responsible for supporting and executing daily logistics activities across all modes of transportation, including ocean, air, ground, import, and export. This role ensures the timely, accurate, and compliant movement of cargo while maintaining strong communication with customers, vendors, carriers, and internal departments. The Import Operations Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring operational efficiency, completing documentation, tracking shipments, and delivering excellent service. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: 3 years or more of related experience or equivalent. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: · Knowledge of logistics, transportation, and supply chain processes across ocean, air, ground, and import/export operations. · Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills. · Excellent organizational ability and time management skills. · Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. · Professional and effective communication skills across all levels and mediums (phone, email, systems). · Ability to interact with customers, vendors, carriers, and internal teams professionally. · Ability to follow company policies and understand the impact of operational decisions. · Proven ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. · Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and operational data-entry systems. · Strong judgment and the ability to make timely and sound decisions EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS · Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Logistics, Maritime and Port Administration, International Business, Supply Chain, or related field (preferred). · Hazmat Certification, IATA Certified Professional Training (CTP), and/or Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) CargoWise experience highly preferred, certification preferred.
