Import Manager

Logistics We are a furniture importer and wholesaler, designing and importing goods from Malaysia, Vietnam, and India. We are seeking an experienced Import Manager who can minimize freight costs while maintaining efficient shipping schedules and on-time deliveries. Core Responsibilities: - Track incoming import shipment departure / arrival dates - File ISFs - Compile customs clearance documents and ensure that customs broker clears shipments prior to arrival at port - Arrange container delivery to warehouse as well as containers delivering directly to customer’s warehouse or store locations - Build and maintain strong relationships with steamship lines, freight forwarders, trucking companies and internal and external customers - Negotiate ocean freight rates on an annual basis - Monitor and utilize the ocean freight spot market rates to minimize freight spend when possible Desired Experience/ Skills - Strong ability to organize and prioritize - Strong and confident communicator and critical thinker - Attention to detail - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment - Intermediate Excel skills - Confidence and ability to work independently and with others - Previous import experience required We Have Great Benefits!
