Import/Export Specialist

We are recruiting on behalf of an international freight forwarding company seeking an experienced Import/Export Operations Coordinator to join its team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Air & Ocean Import/Export operations , along with experience in domestic transportation, including LTL and FTL. This opportunity is well suited to someone who can manage shipments independently, maintain strong customer relationships, and coordinate international and domestic freight movements from start to finish. Key Responsibilities A–Z Shipment Management: Coordinate Air & Ocean Import/Export shipments from booking through final delivery. Domestic Transportation: Arrange LTL and FTL shipments, including pickups, deliveries and carrier coordination. Freight Quoting: Prepare customer quotations and coordinate competitive transportation rates. Documentation: Prepare and review Bills of Lading, shipping documents and import/export paperwork. Customs & Compliance: Ensure shipments comply with applicable international trade regulations. Carrier & Agent Coordination: Communicate with overseas agents, airlines, ocean carriers, truckers and warehouses. Shipment Tracking: Monitor cargo movements, provide customer updates and resolve operational delays. Customer Service: Maintain strong relationships with existing clients and support the development of new accounts. Problem Resolution: Handle shipment exceptions, documentation discrepancies and service issues promptly. Requirements 3–5 years of freight-forwarding experience , ideally covering Air & Ocean Import/Export operations. Working knowledge of domestic LTL and FTL transportation . Familiarity with international shipping documentation and customs compliance requirements. Experience preparing freight quotations and coordinating with carriers. Strong communication, organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities independently. Excellent customer service skills. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (BA/BS). Interested?
