IMPORT ENTRY WRITER

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Import Entry Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of relevant experience and possess strong knowledge of apparel imports, FDA regulations, and customs procedures. They will be responsible for auditing import documentation to ensure compliance and accuracy, including commercial invoices and certificates of origin. The role involves rating and classifying import entries accurately. This position does not involve handling traffic or entering data directly into systems. Responsibilities: Review and audit import documents such as commercial invoices, certificates of origin, and supporting paperwork. Ensure compliance with FDA, customs regulations, and company policies. Rate and classify import entries accurately according to applicable tariffs and regulations. Verify documentation accuracy and completeness before submission. Collaborate with customs brokers and other stakeholders to resolve discrepancies. Maintain organized records of all import documentation for audit purposes. Stay updated on changes in import regulations affecting apparel shipments. Qualifications: Minimum of two years’ experience in import documentation or related field. Strong knowledge of apparel industry regulations, FDA compliance, and customs procedures. Ability to audit documents thoroughly and accurately. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Good communication skills to coordinate with brokers and regulatory agencies.
