Import Automotive Technician

Summary Crippen GMC Mazda Volvo seeks a skilled Import Automotive Technician to join a fast-paced dealership service team. The ideal candidate has strong diagnostic skills, heavy mechanical repair experience (engine, transmission, drivetrain), and familiarity with EV systems and ADAS. Work on a wide range of vehicles using OEM diagnostic tools and state-of-the-art equipment. Key Responsibilities - Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and drivability issues using factory-approved diagnostic tools - Perform major repairs: engine, transmission, drivetrain, alignments, suspension, and steering per manufacturer specs - Service routine maintenance: oil changes, brakes, fluid checks, tire rotations, etc. - Diagnose and service EV systems (high-voltage batteries, charging components) and troubleshoot ADAS sensors/systems - Collaborate with technicians and service advisors to resolve complex issues and communicate findings to customers - Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area; follow OEM safety procedures and training Qualifications - Proven experience as an Import Automotive Technician in a dealership or repair facility - Strong background in heavy mechanical repairs (engine, transmission, drivetrain) - Hands-on experience with Mazda and/or Volvo preferred - EV training/certification and ADAS diagnostic experience preferred (or indicate if training provided) - Proficient with hand tools, diagnostic scanners, and OEM repair equipment - Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; ASE certifications a plus Why Work Here - High volume of diverse work across mechanical, electrical, and EV platforms - State-of-the-art equipment, OEM tools, and ongoing manufacturer training - Competitive pay based on experience and comprehensive benefits (health, dental, 401k) - Professional, collaborative, and fast-paced team environment EEO Crippen GMC Mazda Volvo is an equal opportunity employer.
