Import Assistant

Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Import Assistant to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will support import operations, ensuring efficient handling of shipments and seamless coordination with various warehouse functions. Responsibilities Document Management: Prepare, review, and verify import paperwork, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading to ensure total accuracy before customs submission Shipment Tracking: Monitor inbound freight and container movements from international suppliers to domestic warehouses, updating internal teams on delivery timelines Logistics Coordination: Act as a primary point of contact communicating with steam-ship lines, customs brokers, and carriers to resolve transit delays or customs holds Regulatory Compliance: Maintain compliance with US import laws, tariff codes, and trade regulations, assisting in audit preparations and data recordkeeping Record Maintenance: Organize and archive digital and physical trade files to support finance, supply chain, and compliance departments Qualifications Bachelor degree or higher Basic computer skills (e.g. MS Office...)
