Freezer Team Lead CJR Wholesale Grocers is a family-owned business serving the GTA for over 25 years. We provide independent grocers with a reliable, high quality one-stop shop. We are seeking a detail-oriented; safety focused Freezer Team Lead to oversee day-to-day freezer operations. In this leadership role, you will supervisor order assembly, train staff, manage inventory and documentation and ensure all health and safety policies are strictly maintained in a cold-storage environment (-18°C). Pay Rate: $20.00-$25.00 CAD per hour Monday to Friday 1:30 pm to 10:00 pm Employment type: Permanent, Full Time Existing Vacancy: Yes AI Disclosure: Not Used Location: 5876 Coopers Ave, Mississauga, ON, L4Z 2B9 Reporting to: Supervisor Key Duties & Responsibilities Team Leadership & Training: Supervise freezer staff, train team members in safe picking and operational methods. Order Assembly & Quality Control: Oversee the accurate, defect-free picking and palletizing of customer orders; inspect product condition, code dating, and report discrepancies. Shipping & Receiving: Oversee the preparation, staging, and processing of shipments, and problem-solve missing documents or delivery issues. Equipment Operation & Safety: Safely operate warehouse equipment (such as Walkies and forklifts); maintain a clean, organized work area adhering to all safety regulations and PPE requirements. Qualifications & Technical Requirements Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent; Forklift/Reach truck certification. Certifications: Raymond Walkie Ride-on required. Communication: Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Math Skills: Basic mathematical proficiency. Working Conditions & Physical Requirements Environmental Conditions: Ability to work comfortably in cold temperatures (-18°C). Physical Demands: Ability to perform repetitive heavy lifting of up to 50 lbs. Teamwork & Efficiency: Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
