Ice Cream Truck Driver & Server, Part-Time, Lancaster County Pay: $15/hour, W-2 employee, paid training. Job type: part-time. Location: Lancaster County, PA. Scoopernova is a brand-new ice cream truck launching in Lancaster County in mid-November: a retro, 1960s space-age style truck selling prepackaged ice cream novelties. It has an unusual setup. The business is run by an AI called Scoop, backed by a small human team here in Lancaster. You'd be the person on board, driving the route, serving customers and making every stop feel like a small event. We're hiring 2 part-time drivers. Shifts are solo, so on your day you run the truck. What you'll do Drive planned routes and stops around Lancaster County (township neighborhoods, Millersville, weekend stops) Sell and hand over ice cream and take card and cash payments on Square Load stock at the start of each shift and close out at the end Keep the freezers cold, logged and clean, and keep the truck tidy Post a short end-of-shift note in Slack (we'll show you how) Safety comes first. There are kids around the truck, so careful driving and parking is the number one rule. Schedule Part-time, ongoing. First shifts are launch weekend, Sun 11/15 and Mon 11/16. Paid training on a weekday the week before launch. Hours vary with weather and season: weekday afternoons and early evenings (about 2 to 7 pm) and weekends (about 10:30 am to 6 pm). One driver mostly Mon to Fri (about 20 to 25 hours a week at launch), one mostly Sat and Sun (about 14 hours a week). Must have A valid driver's license and a clean driving record (we check your PA driving record with your consent) Pass a background check, since you'll be serving kids and families Comfortable taking payments and chatting with customers Reliable and fine working solo Can lift stock cases and coolers up to 40 lb and work outdoors on cold afternoons A smartphone (schedules and updates come through Slack) Nice to have A food handler or food safety certificate (ServSafe or similar).
