About Us Liberty Removal Service Inc. provides professional and dignified transportation of human remains in partnership with funeral homes, hospitals, police services, and the Office of the Chief Coroner of Ontario throughout the Niagara region and occasionally beyond. Our team operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including holidays and in all weather conditions. Team members respond to private residences, hospitals, hospices, long-term care facilities, and investigative scenes under the direction of the coroner or police to support the safe and respectful transfer of deceased individuals to their next location of care. This line of work is unique. It requires emotional stability, physical capability, reliability, professionalism, discretion, and teamwork. In return, our work provides meaningful exposure for individuals building toward careers in funeral services, emergency response, forensics, healthcare, security, or related fields. Position Summary Liberty Removal Service is seeking a reliable and professional Human Remains Transportation Specialist (Part Time) to join our on-call team, which is recognized for a high standard of reliability and compassionate care. This is a new position and is not filling an existing vacancy. Working in a two-person team, the Human Remains Transportation Specialist will enter private residences and healthcare facilities as well as attend investigative scenes under the direction of the coroner or police to provide respectful and professional transfers of deceased individuals to their next location of care. Availability Requirements Because Liberty Removal Service operates on a 24-hour on-call response model, successful candidates must: Be available to work 2 twelve-hour shifts, with the possibility to work additional shifts Remain reachable and ready to respond throughout the entire duration of scheduled shifts Be able to arrive at the designated meeting location within the allotted time as set by company policy Understand that active calls may extend beyond scheduled shift times Understand that, on rare occasions, team members may be called upon outside of scheduled shifts to assist with bariatric transfers, mass casualty events, and other similar situations Reliable availability is an essential component of this role. Work Environment This position involves frequent exposure to end-of-life situations. Team members will encounter deceased individuals in a range of ages, conditions, and locations.
