HR Field Operations Coordinator
Knight Material Technologies (KMT) is hiring an HR Field Operations Coordinator to join our East Canton, OH team! The HR Field Operations Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all KMT International and Field Crew travel logistics and ensuring site-entry readiness. This role serves as the central point of contact for travel planning, site compliance, onboarding requirements, and documentation management to ensure field personnel can mobilize efficiently and meet all client and site-specific requirements.
The position requires strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced field operations environment.

Location: East Canton, OH
Responsibilities:
- Research and compare available travel and hotel accommodations to identify the best available option for each travel need.
- When travel arrangements are within approved travel reasons and budget limits, makes all arrangements and reservations as requested.
- Resolve any issues that arise during travel, such as delays or itinerary changes.
- Prepares travel itineraries and distributes travel arrangements and schedules to all appropriate staff.
- Provide guidance, training, and customer services to employees regarding travel in alignment with company policy and procedures.
- Obtains approval from leadership for travel requests and expenses that exceed established limits.
- Drive continuous improvement of the travel request and reimbursement system and operations.
- Manage any outside travel agencies and related online portals or applications.
- Monitors and facilitates the use of company air travel credit cards, frequent flyer programs, and other applicable rewards and loyalty programs.
- Coordinate and track all site-entry requirements for field personnel, including:
- Background checks
- Drug and alcohol testing
- Safety training and certifications (e.g., MSHA, OSHA, client-specific training)
- Medical clearances and documentation
- Client-required forms and onboarding documentation
- Verify, maintain, and organize training records, certifications, and compliance documentation for field crews.
- Ensure all personnel meet site-specific requirements prior to mobilization.
- Maintain centralized digital records and Teams folders for site documentation and onboarding materials.
- Collaborate with HR, Safety, Operations, and Project Management teams to align travel and compliance requirements with project schedules.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma required; higher education preferred.
- Previous training with demonstrable travel coordinating or logistics experience (government experience is a plus)
