HQF - Material Handler, Floral - Temporary Full-time Position
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day SaintsThis position helps further the mission of the Church to bring souls unto Christ by supporting the preparation and installation of holiday floral and décor displays at Church facilities. The incumbent assists with organizing, staging, moving, and setting up Christmas trees, ornaments, garland, and other seasonal materials. This is a temporary, entry-level material handling position supporting holiday floral and décor activities. The incumbent assists with the movement, staging, setup, tracking, and organization of Christmas trees, ornaments, garland, and other holiday materials. This position works closely with designers and other team members to ensure materials are properly prepared and available for installation at various locations. Shift Details: Monday - Friday 8:00 pm-4:00 pm - Hours may vary depending on need. Compensation: $19.00/hr Locations: - Floral Shop - Church Office Building This is a temporary full-time position with limited benefits. **Please Note: These positions do not qualify for students required to work on the Ensign College Campus.** Temporary Holiday Inventory Assist with temporary holiday inventory and organization of materials. Pull Christmas trees from stock and set them up at designated locations. Check trees for stability and make adjustments as needed to ensure they are properly and safely positioned. Pull, track, and log Christmas ornament boxes as they are checked out and returned. Stage the correct ornament boxes for corresponding trees and locations. Assist designers with decorating Christmas trees as needed. Pull, transport, and hang garland at the Tabernacle. Handle and move holiday décor and materials safely and carefully. Maintain an organized work area and follow established safety practices. Perform other duties as assigned Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to follow directions and work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Reliable attendance throughout the temporary holiday assignment. Ability to safely lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Previous merchandising, warehouse, material handling, floral, or display setup experience is preferred but not required.
