Duties Perform thorough cleaning of warehouse floors, surfaces, and equipment using appropriate cleaning agents and tools such as floor buffers and scrubbers. Handle chemical agents safely by following established chemical handling safety procedures, ensuring proper storage, usage, and disposal. Conduct routine custodial tasks including trash removal, restocking supplies, and sanitizing high-touch areas to maintain optimal sanitation standards. Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and industrial cleaning tools with precision and care. Assist with facilities maintenance tasks like minor repairs, painting (residential or industrial), and ensuring all safety protocols are adhered to during maintenance activities. Support heavy lifting and manual handling duties by following safe lifting practices to prevent injuries while moving supplies or equipment. Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with safety regulations, including proper chemical handling procedures and safety protocol adherence. Skills Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial roles within commercial or industrial settings. Strong knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, sealing, and polishing floors. Ability to handle chemical agents safely while maintaining sanitation standards; familiarity with chemical handling safety procedures is essential. Experience operating cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and other custodial tools. Excellent manual handling skills with a focus on safe lifting practices to manage heavy or bulky items efficiently. Customer service skills to communicate effectively with team members and visitors when needed.
