Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Truck Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating various types of commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and refrigerated trailers, to transport freight across local, regional, and over-the-road (OTR) routes. Your expertise in navigating GPS systems, adhering to safety regulations, and managing cargo handling will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be a vital part of our supply chain operations, delivering essential goods efficiently and reliably. Responsibilities Safely operate commercial trucks such as tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and refrigerated trailers on designated routes. Load and unload freight using manual handling techniques and proper equipment to ensure cargo safety and integrity. Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems while adhering to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Transport hazardous materials (hazmat) and dangerous goods following all hazardous materials regulations and safety protocols. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and cargo documentation in compliance with FMCSA regulations. Conduct vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure truck safety, including checking for mechanical issues or hazards. Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route updates, delivery schedules, or any issues encountered during transit. Skills Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on route driving and delivery driving. Knowledge of truck loading and unloading procedures, including freight handling for logistics cargo handling. Proficiency in operating manual transmission trucks and understanding tractor-trailer systems. Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbed trucks, tanker trucks, and automobile transportation methods. Ability to navigate using GPS navigation systems accurately over long distances on OTR routes. Strong understanding of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards for commercial driving. Experience with load securement techniques for various types of freight including hazardous goods or dangerous goods. Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record; ability to comply with all traffic laws and safety protocols.
