In this vital role, you will operate specialized freight vehicles, including flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, and tanker trucks, to deliver freight efficiently across various routes. Your expertise in commercial truck driving and logistics cargo handling will ensure timely deliveries while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity for experienced drivers who thrive on route driving, manual transmission operation, and managing hazardous materials with confidence. Duties Safely operate tractor-trailers, including flatbed, tanker, and refrigerated trailers, on over-the-road (OTR) routes to deliver freight across multiple locations Load and unload cargo with precision, ensuring proper handling of hazardous materials and dangerous goods in compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and hazardous materials regulations Navigate routes using GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery times and maintain efficient schedules Manage the transportation of automobile parts or vehicles via automobile transportation techniques when required Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations Load & unload freight accurately, ensuring proper securing of cargo to prevent shifting or damage during transit Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, delivery documentation, and inspection reports in accordance with DOT regulations Experience Proven experience in commercial truck driving, especially in route driving for freight delivery Familiarity with operating manual transmission trucks and tractor-trailers in various conditions Experience handling logistics cargo, including flatbed loads, tanker shipments, or refrigerated freight Knowledge of FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) rules, and hazardous materials regulations Prior delivery driver experience involving load & unload procedures and truck loading/unloading techniques Ability to operate GPS navigation systems effectively for route planning and real-time adjustments Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements relevant to hazardous materials if applicable Join us as a Hotshot Owner Operator and enjoy the freedom of managing your own schedule while delivering essential freight safely across diverse routes.
