RFC Civil is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and flexible CDL Hot Shot Driver to join our Fleet Department. We are a fast-paced civil construction company where schedules change, priorities shift, and unexpected situations arise daily. We need someone who can adapt quickly, take direction, and do whatever it takes to keep our jobsites moving. This is NOT a position for someone who just wants to drive a truck. We are looking for a TEAM PLAYER! POSITION REQUIREMENTS Valid CDL with Hazmat (H) and Tanker (N) endorsements , or a combination X endorsement. Experience operating a flatbed truck with a gooseneck trailer. Experience hauling construction materials, supplies, and equipment. Knowledge of proper loading, unloading, and load securement procedures. Safe driving record and commitment to DOT regulations. Ability to work independently, communicate effectively, and follow directions. Willingness to work beyond scheduled hours when needed. Flexibility to handle constant schedule changes, diversions, and emergency deliveries. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Transport construction materials, tools, supplies, and equipment between our yard, vendors, and active jobsites. Operate a flatbed truck with a gooseneck trailer safely and efficiently. Make deliveries and pickups throughout Central Florida, including projects up to 100 miles from our Oldsmar office. Support multiple active projects in the Orlando area. Respond to urgent material and equipment needs as directed by the Fleet Department. Assist field crews with general jobsite duties when deliveries are not scheduled. Assist with yard operations, organizing materials, loading and unloading equipment, and other assigned tasks. Conduct required vehicle inspections and maintain equipment in safe operating condition. Maintain communication with the Fleet Director regarding assignments, deliveries, and schedule changes. WORK SCHEDULE Monday – Friday: 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM Weekends: As needed. Additional Hours: Must be willing to work late when necessary to meet operational demands. Travel: Throughout Central Florida, including frequent trips to Orlando and surrounding areas. WHAT YOU NEED TO UNDERSTAND BEFORE APPLYING Construction is unpredictable! We deal with 911 situations almost every day. Equipment breaks down, materials are needed unexpectedly, deliveries get redirected, and priorities can change at a moment's notice. Some days you'll spend the entire day driving and making deliveries. Other days, there may be no deliveries scheduled. On those days, you'll be expected to help our crews on jobsites or assist with work in our yard. We need someone who: Shows up on time and is ready to work. Doesn't get frustrated when plans change. Is willing to stay late when the job requires it. Takes initiative instead of waiting to be told what to do. Understands that no job is beneath them. Has a positive attitude and puts the TEAM first.
