Hospital Lab Assistant - Inventory / Supplies

Job Summary: The Hospital Lab Assistant manages inventory and supplies within a clinical laboratory environment. Responsibilities include: Placing and overseeing supply orders via computer and phone Receiving, processing, and entering inventory data into management systems Handling departmental supply requests through phone, fax, and email Resolving inventory discrepancies swiftly Conducting monthly physical inventory counts and maintaining accurate records Qualifications & Skills: High school diploma or equivalent Over two years of experience in inventory, purchasing, or supply management Knowledge of inventory control and physical inventory procedures Proficiency with procurement software and ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including formulas and pivot tables Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly Strong verbal communication and basic data entry skills
