Honda Used Car Manager

This leadership position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Honda used vehicle department, including inventory acquisition, vehicle appraisals, pricing strategy, merchandising, performance management, and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional results. What You'll Do Lead & Develop the Team Recruit, train, coach, and motivate a high-performing used vehicle sales team. Create a positive and customer-focused culture that drives results. Conduct regular performance reviews and coaching sessions. Establish clear goals and hold team members accountable for achieving them. Manage Used Vehicle Inventory Oversee all aspects of inventory acquisition, appraisals, pricing, and merchandising. Monitor inventory aging and implement strategies to maximize inventory turn. Source quality pre-owned vehicles through trade-ins, auctions, and other channels. Ensure vehicles are properly reconditioned and front-line ready in a timely manner. Drive Sales & Profitability Achieve and exceed used vehicle sales and gross profit objectives. Analyze market conditions and pricing trends to maintain a competitive inventory. Develop and execute sales strategies that increase volume and profitability. Work closely with the Finance Department and General Sale Manager to maximize dealership performance. Deliver an Exceptional Customer Experience Ensure every customer receives outstanding service throughout the buying process. Resolve customer concerns professionally and efficiently. Promote customer retention and support dealership reputation initiatives. Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and engagement. Monitor Performance Review key performance indicators, inventory reports, and sales metrics. Identify opportunities for improvement and implement action plans. Provide regular updates and reports to dealership leadership. Qualifications 3+ years of automotive sales management experience, preferably in a Used Car Manager role. Proven success managing used vehicle inventory and achieving sales goals. Strong vehicle appraisal and acquisition skills. Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building abilities. Strong understanding of automotive market trends and inventory management. Ability to analyze data and make sound business decisions. Customer-focused with a commitment to delivering exceptional experiences. Pennsylvania Sales License or ability to obtain one. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
