Job Summary We are actively seeking energetic and dedicated Class 1 AZ / Class 1 Drivers to join our team for Western Regional Routes operating out of our Edmonton terminal base . This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive modern heavy-duty trucks across regional routes, ensuring timely delivery of freight while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. Responsibilities Safely operate Class 1 commercial trucks along designated Western regional routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and other critical systems Manage freight loading and unloading processes with efficiency, ensuring cargo is secured properly using forklifts or other heavy equipment when necessary Maintain accurate documentation for shipments, including delivery logs, bills of lading, and inspection reports Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery schedules, and any issues encountered on the road Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to ensure vehicle safety and operational readiness Follow all company policies related to safety procedures, hours of service regulations, and cargo handling Pay & Compensation Base Rate: $0.60 per mile Extra Stop Pay: Additional pay for multi-stop loads ($25–$50 per pick/drop) Layover & Detention Pay: Extra compensation for delay/wait time Payment Schedule: Direct deposit on a regular bi-weekly cycle Route Details & Work Schedule Primary Lanes: Edmonton \ BC | Edmonton \Fort McMurray | Edmonton \Prairies (SK / MB) Dedicated Equipment: Assigned dedicated tractor (no slip-seating) Picks & Drops: Average 2–3 pickups and drops per run Dispatch: Steady, year-round miles with scheduled home time Experience Valid Class 1 AZ driver’s license with a clean driving record Proven 2 year experience in commercial driving within a regional or cross-border environment Age 25 year plus, Clean Abstract Knowledge of heavy equipment operation and basic automotive repair techniques is advantageous Strong understanding of safety protocols related to freight transportation and heavy equipment use Join us to be part of a dynamic team committed to excellence in transportation!
