High Reach Forklift Operator

Overview We are seeking a dedicated Reach Forklift Operator to join our client's dynamic warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating high reach forklifts to efficiently handle, store, and retrieve inventory within the warehouse. Your expertise will ensure smooth warehouse operations, accurate order fulfillment, and optimal space utilization. The ideal candidate will possess strong background experience in reach operation, excellent attention to safety protocols, and a proactive approach to warehouse management. Duties Operate high reach forklifts to move, stack, and organize inventory at various heights within the warehouse environment. Utilize clamp trucks and order pickers to efficiently select and prepare products for shipment or storage. Conduct routine inspections of forklift equipment to ensure safety and proper functioning; report any maintenance needs promptly. Assist with order picking activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in fulfilling customer orders. Support warehouse distribution processes by maintaining organized storage areas and optimizing space utilization. If needed, use warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory movements, update stock levels, and ensure data accuracy. If needed, perform heavy lifting tasks safely while adhering to safety guidelines and ergonomic practices. Collaborate with team members to coordinate daily operations, including loading, unloading, and inventory replenishment. Requirements Proven experience (minimum 1 year) operating high reach forklifts, with certification preferred but not required. Familiarity with warehouse distribution procedures and inventory management systems. Mechanical knowledge related to forklift operation and basic maintenance. Ability to operate other warehouse equipment proficiently. Strong understanding of basic math for inventory counts and measurements. Physical capability for heavy lifting and extended periods of standing or operating machinery. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols. Prior experience in a fast-paced food warehouse environment is highly desirable.
