Heavy Haul Truck Driver

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and passionate Heavy Haul Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating large, specialized tractor-trailers to transport heavy and oversized loads across various routes, including local, regional, and over-the-road (OTR) driving routes. Your expertise in handling complex logistics cargo, adhering to safety regulations, and navigating diverse terrains will ensure timely and secure deliveries. Responsibilities Operate heavy-duty tractor-trailers and specialized equipment for heavy haul loads Safely load, secure, and unload machines using manual handling techniques and appropriate cargo handling equipment Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems while complying with all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) standards Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery documentation, and inspection reports in compliance with DOT regulations Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety, including checking load security, tire pressure, brakes, lights, and fluid levels Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route changes, delivery schedules, or any issues encountered during transportation Passion in commercial truck driving, including route driving and delivery driving for freight transportation companies Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, and safety standards for truck driving Experience handling logistics cargo such as trackhoes, dozers, and any other construction equipment where familiarity with load & unload procedures is essential Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently and perform manual handling tasks safely Strong navigation skills utilizing GPS systems for efficient route planning on any route Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and customer satisfaction Physical ability to handle truck loading/unloading tasks and manage hazardous or dangerous goods when required Join our team as a Heavy Haul Truck Driver if you’re passionate about delivering freight safely across long distances while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.
