Mitchell Construction Co.Overview Join our dynamic team as a Heavy Equipment Shop Supervisor & Parts Inventory Coordinator, where you will lead the efficient operation of our heavy equipment maintenance shop while managing critical parts inventory. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee equipment repairs, coordinate parts sourcing, and streamline logistics processes to ensure optimal performance and availability of machinery. Your proactive leadership and expertise in supply chain management will drive productivity and support our commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence. Responsibilities Supervise daily shop operations, including scheduling repairs, overseeing equipment maintenance, and ensuring safety protocols are followed. Coordinate parts procurement, parts sourcing, and inventory control to maintain accurate stock levels and minimize downtime. Manage parts administration using inventory management systems and ERP software to track parts movement, pricing, and demand planning. Oversee shipping & receiving processes, ensuring timely delivery of parts and equipment to meet project deadlines. Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules for automotive parts, OEM components, and equipment repair supplies. Maintain detailed records of inventory levels, procurement activities, and service history using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) tools. Lead internal communication efforts across departments to optimize parts sourcing strategies, improve logistics efficiency, and enhance customer service. Requirements Proven experience in supply chain management, procurement management, or warehouse management within manufacturing or automotive service environments. Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems, automotive diagnostics, and equipment repair procedures. Familiarity with inventory management systems, ERP platforms, Parts administration software, and order management systems. Certification in forklift operation is preferred; knowledge of HVAC or auto body repair is a plus. Excellent negotiation skills with supplier management experience to secure favorable pricing and sourcing options. Ability to perform data entry accurately while managing logistics inventory management tasks efficiently.
