Heavy Equipment & Fleet Parts Coordinator

Job Overview We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Heavy Equipment & Fleet Parts Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will manage parts procurement and inventory for our diverse fleet of heavy construction equipment and commercial trucks. You will work closely with shop mechanics and field technicians to ensure the correct parts are sourced quickly, minimizing vehicle downtime and keeping both our project sites and transportation logistics running efficiently. Core Responsibilities · Parts Sourcing & Research: Utilize digital parts catalogs, technical manuals, and schematics to accurately identify components for heavy diesel engines, hydraulic systems, undercarriages, and commercial truck chassis (Class 7-8 trucks, trailers, and medium-duty vehicles). · Core & Warranty Management: Process and track heavy component "cores" (e.g., engines, transmissions, turbos, hydraulic pumps) for return credit. Document and manage parts warranty claims with suppliers. · Technician & Shop Support: Act as the primary point of contact for mechanics, preparing and staging parts kits for upcoming scheduled fleet maintenance (PMs) and repair orders. Qualifications & Skills · Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years of parts experience, with a combined or specific focus in both heavy construction equipment and commercial truck/fleet parts . · Technical Literacy: Proficiency with fleet maintenance software, inventory management systems (ERP), and digital OEM parts catalogs. · Mechanical Aptitude: Strong understanding of heavy diesel mechanics, hydraulic systems, and heavy-duty truck/trailer components. · Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and stand, walk, or bend in a warehouse or shop environment. · Organization: Excellent organizational skills to track and balance two distinct types of parts inventories simultaneously. · Knowledge of DOT compliance a plus · Knowledge in Fleet system E360 a plus Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour Work Location: In person
