Heavy Equipment & Fleet Mechanic (Diesel / Hydraulics)

Hufnagel Excavating is a utility contractor in Southwestern Pennsylvania installing and replacing water mains, lead service lines, and meter pits. We are hiring a hands-on mechanic to keep our heavy equipment (excavators, loaders, skid steers, compactors) and our truck fleet (CDL dump trucks, service trucks, pickups, trailers) running safely. Duties: preventive maintenance; diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical, undercarriage and drivetrains; truck brakes including air brakes, suspension, DPF/DEF; trailer repairs; PA inspection and DOT compliance records; field breakdown response; light welding and fabrication. Requirements: 3+ years diesel heavy equipment and/or heavy truck repair; strong troubleshooting with scan tools; valid driver license; own basic hand tools; pass drug screen. Nice to have: CDL A/B, PennDOT inspection mechanic cert, welding, ASE certs, OEM training. Pay $28-$44/hr based on experience, overtime available. Steady year-round work.
