Heavy Duty Wrecker Driver and Operator

Overview As a Heavy Duty Wrecker Driver and Operator, you’ll respond to vehicle breakdowns and recovery needs, operate tow trucks and flatbeds, and help customers get back on the road safely. You’ll use sound judgment, mechanical knowledge, and clear communication on every call. Your impact: Safe, efficient vehicle recovery helps customers and other road users move forward with less disruption. Duties Operate heavy-duty wreckers and flatbeds for car towing, commercial vehicle towing, and vehicle recovery towing. Assess vehicles and recovery scenes; use automotive diagnostics and basic vehicle troubleshooting to determine the appropriate approach. Safely load, unload, secure, and transport vehicles, following cargo securement protocols and safe vehicle loading procedures. Perform minor mechanical vehicle repair and basic automotive repair when appropriate; apply knowledge of vehicle mechanics for truck drivers. Provide responsive customer service, manage conflicts professionally, and complete required service and transport documentation. Requirements Demonstrated commercial driving and driving ability; commercial truck driving experience is preferred. CDL is Required. Experience operating a tow truck, flatbed, or heavy-duty wrecker is preferred. Mechanical knowledge, mechanic experience, or familiarity with automotive repair and diagnostics is preferred. Ability to safely load and unload vehicles and follow cargo securement procedures. Ability to operate a manual transmission is preferred; strong customer service and conflict management skills are essential. Pay: $1,000.00 - $4,500.00 per week Work Location: In person
