Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Heavy-duty Truck / Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy equipment, trucks, and industrial machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will help keep our fleet operational, minimize downtime, and support our commitment to reliable transportation services. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, air brakes, suspension components, and electrical systems across various heavy-duty trucks and equipment. Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes, tire service, alignment, and inspections to prevent future issues. Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems accurately. Fabricate parts or modify equipment as needed using welding, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to meet operational requirements. Repair and maintain heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, farm machinery, industrial equipment, and power tools. Conduct heavy lifting operations safely while handling large components or assemblies during repairs or replacements. Ensure compliance with safety standards related to vehicle maintenance, hydraulics, HVAC systems, and other mechanical systems. Requirements Proven experience working as a Heavy-duty Truck Mechanic or Diesel Mechanic with dealership experience preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems including transmissions, brakes (including air brake systems), suspension, hydraulics, and electrical components. Ability to read schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting complex issues efficiently. Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics tools and electronic testing equipment. Skilled in welding, fabrication techniques, and using power tools for equipment repair or assembly tasks. Knowledge of heavy equipment operation such as excavators or cranes is a plus. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients or team members. Valid certifications in diesel mechanics or heavy equipment repair are highly desirable; ongoing training is encouraged to stay current with industry standards.
