Job Description: Captain Hook Towing LLC is looking for an experienced 50-ton heavy-duty wrecker operator to join our team immediately. We are seeking a qualified professional with proven hands-on experience operating 50-ton wreckers and handling heavy-duty towing, vehicle recovery, and roadside assistance. Experienced candidates only. Applicants without prior heavy-duty towing and recovery experience will not be considered. Responsibilities Operate a 50-ton heavy-duty wrecker for commercial truck towing, heavy-duty recovery, and vehicle transport. Perform complex recoveries involving semi-trucks, tractor-trailers, buses, and other heavy vehicles. Safely operate winches, rigging equipment, recovery tools, and towing systems. Assess recovery scenes and develop safe, effective recovery plans. Provide roadside assistance and respond to dispatch calls promptly. Follow all applicable DOT regulations, company safety policies, and proper vehicle securement procedures. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report mechanical issues promptly. Maintain accurate service records, inspection logs, and towing documentation. Keep the assigned truck clean, organized, and ready for operation. Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers, law enforcement, and other recovery personnel. Qualifications & Requirements Proven experience operating a 50-ton wrecker is strongly preferred. Previous hands-on experience in heavy-duty towing and recovery is required. Valid CDL Class A license. Clean driving record and a strong commitment to safety. Knowledge of heavy-duty towing equipment, winching, rigging, and recovery procedures. Ability to assess challenging recovery situations and work independently. Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills. Ability to work flexible hours and respond to emergency calls as needed. Who Should Apply?
