What You’ll Handle Thoroughly inspect, troubleshoot, and repair semi-trailer systems—brakes, suspensions, and electrical circuits included. Complete scheduled maintenance and preventative checks to keep equipment performing at its best. Use diagnostic equipment to pinpoint issues and recommend the most effective repair path. Work closely with teammates to move jobs efficiently without sacrificing quality. Document all maintenance and repair actions with accuracy and clarity. Follow safety procedures and company policies in every task. Keep current on industry best practices, emerging tools, and new repair techniques. What You Bring High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in automotive or diesel mechanics is a plus. Hands-on mechanic experience, ideally with semi-trailers or other heavy-duty vehicles. Strong command of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Confidence reading and interpreting technical manuals and wiring/schematic diagrams. Sharp diagnostic instincts, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Comfort working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced shop environment.
