Heavy Duty Mechanic/ Fleet Technician

We are seeking a skilled, proactive Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic to take full ownership of our fleet maintenance operations in Langley, BC. Working in direct partnership with management, you will focus on preventative maintenance , scheduled servicing, and detailed record-keeping to maintain our equipment in peak condition and eliminate unexpected downtime. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Preventative Maintenance: Plan, schedule, and execute regular PM workflows across the fleet. Routine Servicing: Handle oil changes, fluid swaps, filtration, and full-vehicle greasing. Diagnostics & Repair: Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, air, and hydraulic systems. Repair Documentation: Maintain straightforward records, work orders, and service logs. Shop Operations: Manage tools, inventory, and active projects across 2 full-sized shops. Rescue Support: Perform occasional in-house and field rescue service when needed. QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS Red Seal Ticket: Heavy Duty Equipment Technician ticket required. Class 1 License: Strongly preferred PREFERRED CV Inspector: Commercial Vehicle Inspector endorsement a major asset. Hydraulics Experience: Strong diagnostic skill with hydraulic systems. Tech Skills: Basic phone and computer proficiency for communication and records. Communication: Clear verbal/written communication with management.
