Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic

Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic to join our team. This role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel vehicles and equipment, including concrete mixers, tractor-trailers, and industrial machinery. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise in diesel engines, mechanical systems, and diagnostics, with a commitment to safety, reliability, and efficiency. Key Responsibilities Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair diesel engines, braking systems, suspensions, hydraulic systems, and related components Perform routine preventive maintenance, including oil changes, tire service, inspections, and general vehicle upkeep Repair and maintain heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other industrial machinery Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering tools, and fabrication machinery to repair or modify equipment Conduct electrical diagnostics and repairs on vehicle and equipment systems Safely perform heavy lifting and handle large components in a fast-paced work environment Ensure all work meets safety standards and company maintenance procedures Required Skills & Qualifications Strong knowledge of diesel engine repair and heavy-duty vehicle maintenance Experience with air brake systems, hydraulics, suspension systems, and welding techniques Proficiency in automotive diagnostics and electrical system troubleshooting Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding and fabrication equipment Ability to safely perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Preferred Qualifications (Optional) Experience working on Oshkosh Concrete Mixers.
