Equipment you’ll help keep ready Our fleet includes Freightliner Cascadia tractors with manual and automatic transmissions, intermodal chassis, generator sets (gensets), yard tractors, forklifts, and a top handler. More than repairs. A stronger fleet. You’ll diagnose problems, complete preventive maintenance, and repair trucks, chassis, and yard equipment. Working with fleet leadership and dispatch, you’ll help prioritize repairs, reduce repeat issues, and return equipment to service safely. Starting pay is $38.00–$45.00 per hour, depending on experience. Your work schedule and any additional availability requirements will be discussed during hiring. Use manufacturer diagnostic software, service manuals, and test equipment to troubleshoot diesel engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and fault codes. Perform component repairs, overhauls, and engine removal or replacement as assigned. Maintain critical systems. Service brakes and air systems; steering and suspension; clutches, drivelines, and differentials; fuel, exhaust, and emissions systems; cooling, heating, and air conditioning. Keep chassis & yard equipment ready. Inspect and repair chassis brakes, lights, wiring, landing gear, suspension, and tires. Service gensets and hydraulic systems, including pumps, valves, cylinders, and hoses. Stay ahead of breakdowns. Complete scheduled inspections, preventive maintenance, oil changes, lubrication, and greasing. Review driver-reported defects and flag unsafe conditions promptly. Document & communicate. Record findings, parts, supplies, labor time, and completed work. Share repair priorities, parts needs, and equipment status with fleet leadership and dispatch. Work safely. Maintain an organized shop, use proper protective equipment, and follow safe repair procedures. Assist with authorized roadside repairs and welding or fabrication within your training and qualifications. What you’ll bring to the team Experience. At least two years of hands-on heavy-duty diesel maintenance and repair experience; four or more years preferred. Technical ability.
