Heavy Diesel Mechanic

Overview We are seeking a reliable and skilled Diesel Mechanic to perform standard maintenance, diagnostic work, and repairs on our fleet of medium and heavy duty trucks and equipment. Responsibilities Perform routine preventative maintenance oil changes, filter replacements, fluid checks, and greasing Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, air brake systems, electrical wiring, suspension, and drivelines. Utilize computer based diagnostic software to identify fault codes and system errors. Conduct complete vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance before putting equipment back into service Maintain clean and organized shop and workspace Adhere to all shop safety protocols and industry procedures Complete daily service orders and log labor/parts accurately. Requirements 2+ years of experience working on diesel engines, commercial trucks, and heavy equipment Must own a basic set of hand tools appropriate for diesel engine repair (specialty/ heavy shop equipment provided) Basic understanding of electrical schematics, hydraulic systems, and engine electronics Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform physical work standard to a commercial shop setting Must have a Valid Florida Drivers License (Class A or B CDL is a plus) Must pass a background check and pre-employment drug test This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to apply their mechanical expertise in a challenging yet rewarding environment.
