Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty vehicles and equipment, including trucks, industrial machinery, and farm equipment. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance, safety, and longevity of our fleet and machinery. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse equipment types and utilize your mechanical knowledge in a fast-paced environment that values precision and efficiency. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, air brake systems, and electrical systems using schematics and automotive electrical system repair techniques. Conduct scheduled maintenance and repairs on Heavy Duty Diesel . Fabricate custom parts or modifications using welding and hand tools to meet specific operational needs. Troubleshoot and repair vehicle systems including suspension, shocks & struts, alignment, powertrain components, and HVAC systems. Service and repair farm machinery and heavy truck components to ensure safety standards are met. Utilize power tools and equipment maintenance procedures to perform repairs efficiently while adhering to safety protocols. Assist with heavy lifting tasks and perform tire service as needed for various vehicles and equipment. Requirements Proven experience as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic with experience preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, hydraulics, HVAC systems, and electrical systems. Ability to read schematics accurately for diagnostics and repairs. Hands-on experience with heavy equipment operation including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and tractor-trailers. Proficiency in automotive diagnostics tools and automotive electrical system repair techniques. Skilled in welding, fabrication, assembly, and the use of power tools for equipment repair. Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on safety standards and quality workmanship. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks regularly; comfortable working in various weather conditions.
